Burgercomics

So this is Burgerworld, this is where I live now, this strange, yet oddly familiar place, kinda reminds me of earth, to be honest; Okay, it reminds me a lot of earth. Right now, I live in the biggest city on burgerworld, Burgeropolis, located on the East Coast of the United States of WestBurgers.

I’m not really sure how I got here, or even why; I mean, I was just a fry cook at a major burger franchise back on earth. I recall going off a night shift this one morning when an omniscient voice asked me: “Is this what you want in life?” almost instinctively, I replied: “No.” Then, this angelic burger accompanied by heavenly music appeared before me, and that omniscient voice spoke again, with no doubt whatsoever, that it was a command, not a suggestion. The voice said: “Eat the burger.”

I’m not quite sure what had happened after I ate the burger, but I remember that it was the most delicious burger I’ve ever had; certainly not like the crud I’ve been feeding my customers, that’s for sure! I was then lifted off the ground by an irresistible force, and suddenly whisked across the stars with such speed, it felt as though my body was being torn apart, and with every fibre in my body aching, I soon fainted from the overwhelming pain.

When I came to, I was there, er, here again, and for a second I thought I had simply fainted, for my immediate surroundings remained identical. Ah, then, I remembered that I had forgotten my hat at work, I thus proceeded to go pick it up. I realized that I wasn’t in Jersey no more when I found my way back to the burger franchise store: in its place was a magnificent sky scraper hundreds of meters tall, yet the unfamiliar faces all seemed to have recognized me, the security guards at the door eagerly smiled at me as they hurrily opened the door for me, and those inside who had spotted me riled up with excitement, with screaming and fainting and all that, and I was soon surrounded by a bunch of weird people all mumbling crazy things. Oh well, nothing to it, I guess… Wait, what is that? Is that… An alien?
